A WOMAN who stabbed her flatmate twice in their home was jailed for two years yesterday.
Roxanne McGee snapped during a drinking session with Marion Richardson, 43, and plunged a knife into her shoulder.
Newcastle Crown Court heard that as Mrs Richardson begged for her life, McGee stabbed her in the left thigh and locked the door.
McGee then put Mrs Richardson's blood-stained top in a bath of water and ordered her victim to bed.
Tony Hawks, prosecuting, told the court how trouble flared on July 29 when the pair had been drinking heavily and McGee had been smoking cannabis.
Mrs Richardson escaped and McGee was arrested, but told police she could remember nothing of the attack.
Ailsa MacDonald, in mitigation, said McGee was severely addicted to alcohol and was a regular cannabis user.
McGee, of Whitehead Street, South Shields, South Tyneside, admitted unlawful wounding and false imprisonment at an earlier hearing.
