NORTH Yorkshire Timber has recruited its 100th worker and opened a sixth regional sales centre.
The timber supplier, which started in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, in 1979, has acquired a site in Whessoe Road, Darlington, which will open in the New Year.
The company also has sites in Ripon, Richmond, both North Yorkshire, Middlesbrough and Sunderland and a distribution centre near Catterick.
The 9,000sq ft sales centre in Darlington will create four jobs.
Managing director Peter Kershaw said: "The Darlington sales centre will offer the full range of NY Timber products, from construction timber through to hardwood floors and doors."
