A Teesside school is celebrating after being named in a list of outstanding schools by Government inspectors.
Redcar's Coatham CoE Primary is the only primary school in Redcar and Cleveland to be included in the hall of fame - and one of only three primary schools across Teesside to appear on the list.
Schools have been highlighted for their excellent or very good quality of education.
The Redcar school, in Coatham Road, underwent its Ofsted inspection in September last year.
Acting headteacher Sue Jackson, who was deputy headteacher at the time of the inspection, said: "The outcome from that Ofsted week was the result of years of hard work from dedicated staff.
"We were absolutely delighted at the report's verdict when it came out, and today we are even more thrilled at being named among the country's top schools."
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council's cabinet member for education, Councillor Steve Kay, said: "This is excellent news for the borough in general and for the Coatham community in particular.
"We have many good schools, and it's marvellous to have one of them recognised nationally.
"We congratulate the staff, pupils and families on this outcome. Results like this only come as a consequence of a lot of hard work by everyone."
Her Majesty's chief inspector of schools, David Bell, said: "I applaud the headteachers, staff, governors and pupils or students of all the successful schools and colleges named in the list on their success."
