A CHRISTMAS spectacular came to a festive finale as the musical talent of two schools joined forces to present an annual performance.
Northallerton College students were joined by pupils from the town's Allertonshire School.
Parents, staff and governors were treated to two hours of seasonal music from the college's orchestra, concert, jazz and Dixie bands, the Allertonshire's concert band and choir and a joint woodwind group.
Music ranged from American Christmas songs to Strauss.
The various ensembles were conducted by teachers Garry Firth, Adrian Bramley and Tim Waters.
"They have been rehearsing all term and really enjoyed performing," said Mr Firth.
"It's an important concert for us, as it is the first big performance since the summer - when many of our seasoned musicians left - and it provides a test for the rising talent."
Christmas cards were sold to raise funds for a forthcoming student trip to Malawi.
