A TRAVELLING storyteller is to make a whistlestop tour in north Durham next week.
Puppeteer Emma Boor will hit the road on Durham County Council's Bookbus for a week-long tour in which she will perform 40 shows in 21 villages over five days.
Ms Boor, from Wild Boor Ideas, will perform her seasonal puppet show, The Snowman Detective in Meltdown, at each of the venues and entertain visitors of all ages with short stories, songs and craft activities.
The Bookbus will make its regular stops at Kimblesworth, Nettlesworth and two stops in New Brancepeth on Monday.
On Tuesday, it will make two stops in Pelton Fell, two in Witton Gilbert, three in Bearpark and one in Grange Villa.
On Wednesday, it will make two stops in Leamside, two in West Rainton, four in Bournmoor and four in Great Lumley.
Thursday will see it in Finchale, Low Pittington, Pittington, Littletown, Ludworth School, Ludworth and two stops in Sherburh Hill and two in Shadforth.
The final performances, on Friday, will be at Ouston, two stops in Burnopfield and three in Craghead.
