A MEETING has been called to try to set up more youth facilities in a County Durham village.
There are more than 100 teenagers in Heighington, near Newton Aycliffe, but little for them to do in the evenings.
This means they often end up hanging around the streets, or at bus shelters.
Now a group of parents have come together in an effort to provide some sort of entertainment, or a club for the youths.
Councillor Gerald Lee, who represents Heighington on Darlington Borough Council, has arranged a meeting for those who are interested in helping to set up, or run, some youth provision.
This will be in Heighington village hall at 7pm on Monday.
