VISITORS to Darlington's Crown Street library can enjoy a host of festive activities in the run-up to Christmas and the New Year.
On Wednesday, December 21, between 10am and noon, there will be a make-and-do session for children aged four to ten.
Youngsters will be able to take home the festive items they make.
There will be an hour-long Santa's Baby Rhymetime on Friday, December 23, from 10.30am.
The popular rhymetime sessions are the most successful activity organised for junior library users and, for the last sing-a-long before Christmas, Santa Claus will be joining in the fun.
Baby Rhymetime is suitable for children aged up to four years.
A creative writing workshop is being held on Wednesday, December 28, from 2pm to 5pm.
The workshop will be run by a soon-to-be-published author and will contain tips from eminent writers such as Jonathon Stroud and GP Taylor. The session is suitable for children aged 11 to 15. There are limited places available and places should be booked by contacting the library.
On Thursday, December 29, the Mobius Gaming Club will be holding its final session of the year, from 3pm to 7pm.
The club is open to players of all Games Workshop games but specialises in the Lord of the Rings game system.
For more information on any of the events, contact James Hedge at the library on (01325) 420634.
