THERE is a warm Christmas welcome in library.
A number of choirs from schools and colleges across Hartlepool are entertaining at the town's Central Library, in York Road, with a variety of Christmas carols and songs.
Students from the Manor College of Technology choir performed last Friday.
Yesterday, youngsters from Golden Flatts Primary School choir got on song for the day.
Next week, entertainment will be provided at the library by Brierton School choir on Tuesday, from 11.15am, and by Ward Jackson Primary School choir on Thursday, from 1.30pm.
And on Saturday, December 17, keyboard player Peter Craddy will perform from 9.30am.
All the events are free, but donations will be very welcome, with all proceeds going to Hartlepool and District Hospice.
Library assistant Christine Carter said: "There'll be some real festive cheer for people of all ages - and it's all in a very good cause."
