A BUSINESS park in Darlington has secured its first customer to use its flexible POD self-storage units.

Crow Darlington, which sells a range of boots and footwear, has become the first company move its stock to Lingfield Warehousing Limited (LWL), based at Lingfield Point Business Park.

PODs are available for commercial and domestic use, making them suitable for storage of stock and non-flammable household items, at LWL's secure site.

The steel structures can be as small as four metres square, can be expanded in two metre multiples and reach up to eight metres in height.

PODs are usually hired for a minimum four-week period with the hire charge inclusive of all rent, rates and estate service charges.
