MEMBERS of the public are being asked to comment on plans to re-model the main reception area of a town's civic centre.
The £1.1m improvement scheme in Hartlepool, funded through efficiency savings, aims to ensure a better standard of customer service.
It involves replacing the existing five reception points with just one, as part of the ongoing development of the council's contact centre.
The plans will be on display on the noticeboard in the reception area until Friday, December 16, accompanied by comment slips.
The Civic Centre is open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays.
Work on the new-look reception area is to start next spring, with completion scheduled for December. A temporary reception area will be in operation while work is carried out.
For more information about the proposed changes, contact central services manager Christine Armstrong on (01429) 523016.
