YOGA expert Brenda Noble-Nesbitt is taking the load of her feet to help victims of the Pakistan earthquake.
Brenda, who teaches Iyengar yoga at Bannatyne's Health Club in Chester-le-Street, will stand on her head for ten minutes to raise money for the appeal.
The 60-year-old has already raised £100 in sponsorship from members of her yoga class, but hopes to bring in more when she carries out her stunt at the club on Friday.
She said: "I recently watched a report on the Pakistan earthquake and I knew then that I could do something constructive to help.
"A friend of mine is in Pakistan as part of a group of volunteers who are trying to help survivors.
"They formed International Friends for Humanity, a voluntary organisation which is helping to build a new community and promote long-term physical, mental and social health care in one of the most devastated areas.
"All the money I raise will go directly to International Friends for Humanity and I hope that people will support me in this worthwhile cause."
Andy Mockler, general manager of Bannatyne's Chester-le-Street health club, said: "We are extremely proud to be supporting Brenda in this remarkable challenge and we will be behind her 100 per cent.
"She is an inspiration to us all and I wish her every success."
