ONE of the world's most successful middle-distance runners spent a day at a North Yorkshire airbase to promote a children's charity
Steve Cram met youngsters at RAF Linton-on-Ouse and spoke of his charity's work.
And after trying his hand in a Tucano flight simulator, he took lunch with trainee pilots and provided an autograph for one of the base's own fundraising ventures.
The charity, called Comrades of Children Overseas, was launched in 1998 when Steve Cram formed a partnership with Army Major Jim Panton to help children in Bosnia.
