Entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne moved closer to his target of having a chain of 40 fitness clubs across the UK with the opening of a gym in Shrewsbury this week.
Bannatyne Fitness, based in Darlington, now has 100,000 members in the UK.
The £5m club in Shrewsbury is the chain's 36th gym, and has opened with 1,100 members, a swimming pool, gym, sauna and steam room.
It has the capacity for 3,500 members.
Mr Bannatyne is also one of the stars of reality TV business show Dragon's Den, which is broadcast on BBC2.
Bannatyne's Fitness has sites in Ingleby Barwick, Darlington and Newcastle.
