THE artistic talents of youngsters from Sedgefield Primary School will be shared with VIPs across the country this Christmas.
Pupils at the school entered an annual art competition ran by Sedgefield and Fishburn beat officer, PC Keith Todd, to design a festive greetings card.
The five winning designs have all been printed on Christmas cards, thanks to sponsorship from Jewson builders merchant, which has just opened a branch on the outskirts of the village.
PC Todd will send the cards across the country, including to the Queen and Prime Minister and local MP Tony Blair.
Prizes for runners-up Lottie Leigh, four, Sadie Abel, five, Alexander Priestley-Leach, seven, Millie Newbold, eight, and overall winner Abbi Greaves, nine, were presented by PC Todd and Jewson boss Philip Elliman yesterday.
Headteacher Peter Irvine said: "It is with pride that our children take part in this competition.
"It is a wonderful way to share the school's name with people across Great Britain and further strengthens our good links with PC Todd."
