BURGLARS escaped with designer clothing worth several thousand pounds when they broke into a town centre store.
The raiders broke in through the roof of Jury Man and Woman, in Front Street Consett, County Durham, on Thursday night.
Among garments stolen were top brands, including Fred Perry, Henry Lloyd, Firetrap, Miss Sixty and Lacoste.
The burglary was discovered when staff opened the shop for business yesterday.
A full list of the missing items is still being compiled but, to date, the value of the clothing taken is put at £12,000.
Police are checking security cameras in the hope they may have recorded the crime.
They urged anyone with any information to call them on 0845 60 60 365 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
