ENTHUSIASTS celebrated an anniversary in style by getting on their bikes.
There was a 30-minute guided cycle ride, taking in eight bridges around Middlesbrough, to mark the third birthday on Tuesday of the Middlesbrough Cycle Centre.
It remains the only free, fully-staffed lock-up facility in the North-East, with spaces for 55 bikes, lockers, showers and changing rooms.
The centre also provides its 450 members with route maps, cycling guides and information for riders.
Councillor Ron Lowes, chairman of Middlesbrough Environment City, which runs the centre, says the facility confirms Middlesbrough's commitment to promoting sustainable transport while encouraging people to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
