YOUNG people's achievements have been honoured by the Prince's Trust at an awards ceremony.
TV presenter Edward Tudor Pole gave out awards at the Tall Trees Hotel, at Yarm, near Stockton, yesterday.
Prince's Trust regional director David Beavis said: "These awards are a celebration of young people's achievements across the North-East.
"They demonstrate not only what young people can accomplish if given the right support, but also how they can make a positive impact on their community."
Former bullying victim Stephen Moore, who grew up in Ulster, now teaches children self-defence on Darlington's Firthmoor estate.
He received the Young Achiever of the Year award.
Accident victim Victoria Lynch, who lives on Stockton's Roseworth Estate, was presented with the RBS Enterprise Award for her determination in starting up a business - Additional Lengths - importing hair extension products from China.
The Community Visual Art group, in Redcar, won the Community Impact Award after it created a 15-ton artwork at the South Tees Business Centre.
Stockton Riverside College, which is dedicated to helping the Prince's Trust, was presented with the Delivery Partner Award.
The winners will now compete for a place on the shortlist for the UK finals.
