A DATA management company that plans to double its £4m turnover in the next 12 months, has invested £20,000 to refurbish a run-down Victorian office.
Imraid Wireless, which works with a range of businesses, including sports clubs and entertainment venues, has had the Gem Building, in Blackett Street, Newcastle, renovated.
Sunderland company Office Life won the contract to design and refurbish the building, near Grey's Monument, to include a modern open-plan interior.
Chris Imrie, managing director, said: "The rapid pace of our expansion created the need for a new building in which to grow and work efficiently. The Gem Building is a piece of Newcastle's history, and I am very pleased we have retained its original features."
Imraid aims to increase its workforce of seven and take on more premises for a new division of the business within two years.
