PAUL POTTS has been appointed operations manager at North-East group Vimac Leisure.
Following a year as general manager at Vimac's Studio and DH1 nightclubs, in Durham, Mr Potts has now moved to a role that sees him overseeing all of the company's venues.
Before joining Vimac, he worked for more than eight years at Newcastle nightspot Legends.
Based in the company's Boldon head offices, the 31-year-old, from Sunderland, said: "The year's experience working with Vimac's Durham venues has given me a really good understanding about the way the organisation works. Now that I have the responsibility of overseeing the operations across all the Vimac venues, this will be incredibly useful.
"I joined the company with a view to developing my career, and I'm really pleased that my efforts have been recognised with this promotion."
Jason Greenwood, managing director of Vimac Leisure, said: "Paul will now strengthen the team at our Boldon HQ and, with increased responsibilities across the company, aid the development of the Vimac Leisure brand.
"Paul has already been a great addition to the team, and his years of experience in this industry make him a valuable asset for the business that will enable us to continue the successes that we have already seen."
