Peterlee chairman Trevor Davies admits the club is facing an uncertain future after they lost 4-1 at home to Alnwick.
Peterlee, seventh in the First Division in 2003-04, are facing a second successive relegation after dropping into the bottom two with this setback. They are also searching for a new manager and treasurer.
Manager Trevor Jones quit straight after the game, having won just three league games this season, and he was quickly followed by his wife who acted as club treasurer.
Davies, who has started the search for replacements, said; "Trevor resigned a fortnight ago with a text message, but changed his mind and returned to the club.
"However, he decided to leave again after Saturday's game and we have accepted his resignation. We are demoralised because we were beaten by a team below us and are facing relegation again."
Davies also revealed there is some uncertainty again over the club's future, just like last season.
"We're in need of some people to help on our committee,'' he said. "Plus we need some financial help. We're not getting enough backing from our supporters' club, but we're very determined to keep the club going."
Kevin Winspear and Chris Brodie are taking charge of the team until a successor is appointed. All the goals came in the second half. James Jeffrey put Alnwick into the lead just after half time, but Jon Dowdon equalised.
However, Alnwick ended their ten-game winless run with goals from James Swordy (2) and Mark Cockburn.
Seaham Red Star manager Peter Mulcaster said that "heads will roll" after his second division promotion chasers were humbled 4-1 at home by Norton.
Seaham started the season with five straight wins, but this setback leaves them in sixth place, five points off the promotion places.
"I'm totally dissatisfied with some of my players," blasted Mulcaster. "We can't produce enough consistency. A few weeks ago we beat Newcastle Blue Star in the Vase and Dunston, in the Durham Challenge Cup.
"It is time for a change - I will be bringing in some new faces."
Seaham got off to a good start when Willie Crew scored, but Norton equalised with a 25 yarder from Tyson Masters.
Chris Homer dribbled past four players to put his side in front, then Masters made it 3-1 before completing his hat trick from a Darryl Tomlinson cross.
Seaham have also been hit by the news that midfielder Kevin Dixon has joined Paul Gascoigne's Kettering on a three-year contract.
Bedlington are back on top of the First Division after they scored five times in the second half to beat Esh Winning 5-0.

West Auckland needed a last minute equaliser for a 2-2 draw against Ashington.

They stunned West by taking the lead when Ian Herron scored from a pass by Chris Taylor. After Lee Ellison hit the bar, West thought their chance had gone, but Moffat equalised from an Ellison pass.
Billingham Town won their second game in four days, beating Tow Law 2-1 to go fourth with games in hand.
Lawyers took the lead with a penalty by Scott Emmerson after he was brought down in the box.
But Town equalised on 70 minutes when David Yale burst through and lobbed Darren Horrigan. After Lawyers' Derek Waters hit a post, Andy Burton got the winner after the Tow Law defence failed to clear a free kick.
Thornaby came from behind to win their derby 4-2 against Billingham Synthonia at Teesdale Park.
Synners took the lead when Jamie Middleton headed in a corner by David Wells, but Thornaby equalised when Richie Storr crossed for Steve Larkin. Synners went in front on 25 minutes when Wells finished off a good move down the right, but Thornaby stormed back in the second half.
Nicky Mohan scored, then Campbell made it 3-2 from close range. Colin Iley hit the post for Synners before Campbell made sure with the fourth.
Whitley Bay are unbeaten in eight after a 4-1 win at Chester-le-Street. Rob Livermore (2) and Lee Kerr (2) both on target.
In the other second division games, Consett won their 14th successive game when they defeated Kennek Ryhope CA 2-0 at Belle Vue.
Ryhope keeper Peter Roddam pulled off several good saves before Consett took the lead after 56 minutes when Craig Tate scored his 14th league goal of the season from the spot.
They went 2-0 up when sub Chris Douglas netted.
Marske led twice at Whickham, but went down 5-3. David Onions with a penalty and Michael Wilson in turn put Marske in the lead, only for Richard Brodie to twice level. Andy Elliott put Whickham into the lead, but Danny Metcalfe equalised for Marske.

David Goodchild restored Northallerton's lead after half time, and after Crook's Les Langley had a goal disallowed, the visitors had former Sunderland midfielder Brian Atkinson dismissed for dissent.
