Mark Pitman, who was on the mark at Newbury yesterday, has been resurgent in the last couple of months and looks likely to have a couple of winners at Folkestone this afternoon.
His Deo Gratias, who ran arguably his best race over hurdles on his reappearance at Towcester last month, is fancied to go one better in the Daily Mail Conditional Jockeys Novices Handicap Hurdle over 2 miles.
On that occasion he was no match for The Hairy Lemon but the way he stuck on in the closing stages of that two-mile trip suggested strongly that he would be able to improve again over this longer distance.
Pitman can complete a double two hours later with the consistent Red Dahlia, who will appreciate the step back up in trip, in the Daily Mail Handicap Hurdle over the extended two miles and six furlongs.
The daughter of Alflora was tapped for toe over two miles and three furlongs on fast ground at Taunton last time but was anything but disgraced in third spot and that race has already thrown up a few winners.
Alan King has also been a trainer to follow in recent months and he can be on the mark with Senorita Rumbalita in the 1.30, with First De La Brunie in the 2.00 and with Ben's Turn in the closing bumper at 3.30.
This dual bumper winner was running well on her hurdle debut before her saddle slipped at the final flight at Wincanton, leaving her rider little chance of staying in the saddle.
First De La Brunie ran his best race switched to fences on his reappearance this month and looks the one to beat in an ordinary event, while Ben's Turn, who has a good attitude, can maintain his unbeaten record in bumpers in the finale.
At Wolverhampton's all-weather fixture Nick Littmoden can also be a trainer in double form and his Our Choice (3.20) and Fusili (2.50) appeal as likely winners for the in-form handler.
The former turned in his best effort under the trainer's wife Emma when returned to artificial surfaces but, although up in the weights and in grade, won with more in hand than the official margin suggests.
Fusili is down in trip and back in handicaps but he won with a good deal to spare in an ordinary event on his all-weather debut last time and is one to consider on his first start for Littmoden.
Bridgewater Boys hasn't won for some time but is on an eye-catching mark and is one to note under Tony Culhane in division two of the Play Instant Win Games On ITV Handicap.
At Southwell hat-trick seeker Legal Lover is down in trip but looks the day's best bet in the betdirectcasino.com Banded Stakes over seven furlongs.
Reg Hollinshead's steadily improving gelding has shown the right attitude, winning twice over a mile at this course and he is ideally drawn in stall three for one that races up with the pace.
Michael Attwater has a good recent record and his Orpen Quest is the fancy in the Play Now At Betdirectcasino.com Banded Stakes over a mile.
