TWO brothers signed up for a life in the Army at the same time, although they will be in different branches.
Paul Bartlett, 20, and brother Sean, 23, from Ushaw Moor, County Durham, enlisted in the same week.
Paul has just completed a National Vocational Certificate in Horse Management at Houghall College and is joining the Household Cavalry.
The former pupil of St Leonard's School said: "Although I've always wanted to join the Army because of the opportunities to travel abroad and have an exciting job, I didn't want to do it straight from school, and was keen to do some further study first."
Sean, who is joining the Royal Armoured Corps, said: "Like Paul, I've always been keen on joining the Army but I got a job straight from school and have been working ever since in construction.
"When Paul told me that he was joining up, he inspired me to do the same.''
