THE maker of hit TV show Footballers' Wives yesterday announced a £25m deal to buy the company behind the shows Supernanny and Risking It All.
Shed Productions, which also makes ITV1's Bad Girls, said it was interested in Ricochet because of its links with US broadcasters, its UK regional profile and the scope to profit from international DVD rights.
Ricochet's best-known show is Supernanny, which is broadcast in 37 countries, including on Channel 4 and the ABC network in the US. The company was set up in 1995 by Nick Powell, who will join the board of Shed, along with creative director Nick Southgate.
