HEALTH chiefs have produced a guide to help local people stay fit and well over the winter period.
The leaflet, Getting the Right Treatment, has been produced by the Hambleton and Richmondshire Primary Care Trust.
It gives information and advice on obtaining the most appropriate treatment if people feel unwell, particularly over Christmas and the New Year.
It includes contact numbers for local hospitals and pharmacies, as well as opening times for pharmacies over the Christmas and New Year.
This is the fourth year the PCT has produced the sheet and feedback from previous years has been very positive.
The leaflet is being distributed through free newspapers, GP surgeries, pharmacies, the Friarage Hospital and local community hospitals, libraries and voluntary organisations.
