Darlington College is calling on the community for a mark of approval for its new logo.
A shortlist of four designs has been drawn up on which the public is invited to comment to help the college decide which to choose.
The old logo has graced college publications and stationery since the late 90s, but with next year's opening of a £34.5m college site at Haughton Road, it was decided it was time for a fresh look.
The logo will feature on staff uniforms, stationery, literature and signs at the new college.
The college's own design students have been asked to analyse the logos and feedback their comments to the board.
"We shortlisted the designs we felt were the most clean and contemporary, heralding a new era in the college's history," said Sue Campbell, the college's executive director of customer relations.
"We hope the logo will be around for a long time, so want to choose one which the community, our students and staff feel represents us best.
"The new college is a major part of the regeneration of Darlington.
"We really want to know what people think about the four designs and for local people to have a real input into how we look."
The logos have been posted on the college website at www.darlington.ac.uk and the public, students and staff of the college have until next Friday to make their views known by voting online.
The chosen design will also be adapted for the Catterick campus of Darlington College.
