PRIME Minister's wife Cherie Blair joined in with a sister act by staff from a North-East supermarket.
Staff from Asda, in Spennymoor, were invited to perform a scene from the film Sister Act in front of Mrs Blair after raising £1,000 for Tickled Pink Breast Cancer care.
The supermarket workers were asked to repeat the show for Mrs Blair at Asda House in Leeds.
The store raised £6,200 for the charity, and were motivated by the fact that one of their colleagues, Denise Gittins, required treatment for breast cancer.
Ann Allison, who performed Whoopie Goldberg's role, said of Mrs Blair: "She was fantastic and was genuinely interested in us as people. We were treated like royalty and having Cherie there in her role as breast cancer patron really made a difference."
