YOUNGSTERS have been trying out their new PE equipment, installed as part of a major refurbishment of their school.
Crakehall Primary School, in Crakehall, near Bedale, has had a hall built, along with a new early years unit designed specifically for reception class children, cloakroom, head teacher's office and disabled toilets.
Before the new hall was built, the youngsters had to travel to Bedale High School to have full PE lessons.
Headteacher Alison Cole said: "The children couldn't wait to get in there and use the hall. They have all been really excited."
The school is holding an open evening from 5.30pm to 7.30pm on Tuesday for local people to look around the new facilities. The Bishop of Knaresborough, the Right Reverend James Bell, will officially open the new hall at 6.30pm
