A SPECIAL school has achieved a hat-trick of accolades.
Abbey Hill School and Technology College, in Stockton, has received renewed accreditation from the National Autistic Society, Investors in People recognition for its development programme and full marks in an Ofsted report.
The inspection team reported: "This is a good school and parents and students rightly value the dedication and support of all the staff. The outstanding curriculum is taught well and as a result, students are highly motivated to attend school and strive to do their best."
Clare Devine, acting headteacher, said: "These awards are a fitting recognition of all the work done by staff, students, parents and governors in making Abbey Hill a centre of excellence in the education of young people with special needs. I am proud to be part of it."
A £2m school extension is to be opened in January.
