NETBALL players from a Darlington school will be kitted out in style for their Australian tour after a donation of sports equipment.
Girls from Polam Hall School, in Grange Road, have been given items including ball carriers and water bottles by the RAF in preparation for July next year, when 28 students will be com- peting in a tournament down under.
RAF officers travelled from their base near Newcastle to present the equipment to the grateful girls and their coaches.
Hilary Eneboldson, a parent involved in school fundraising, said they were delighted with the donation.
She said: "I contacted the RAF to see if they could help, and it is wonderful they have been able to.
"Not only will the kit be great on tour but it can also be used in practice and in school."
