NEW POWERS: Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is urging householders to look out for new regulations, which come into force today, that demand all their waste is disposed of properly. Householders will have a responsibility, under the waste Duty of Care regulations, to make sure their rubbish is passed on to authorised carriers only. Householders not taking reasonable measures to do so could face fines of up to £5,000.
MANY HANDS: Countryside rangers at Guisborough Forest and Walkway were helped by children from Belmont Primary School at a litter pick along Guisborough Greenway, from Hutton Lane to Butt Lane, yesterday.
ROAD WORKS: There will be two-way temporary traffic signals on the Coast Road, Redcar, for two weeks from today to carry out installation of bus platforms. There will also be temporary lights on Saltburn Bank, Saltburn just today for drainage works.
