FANS of bling can transform their possessions into sparkling accessories thanks to two young entrepreneurs.
A new firm in Pink Lane, Newcastle, is offering a service to turn mobile phones, lighters and even televisions in to flashy accessories.
The company, called Crystalis, specialises in crystal- covered accessories.
The firm, run by Lynsey Rowland, 25, and Marie Wallace, 26, both from Gateshead, is said to have already had lots of interest .
The pair hand glue crystals on to anything, including compacts, shoes, MP3 players and jewellery.
An average mobile phone will take up to 800 crystals and four hours to fully cover, at £150.
Lynsey, who has just finished studying forensic science at Newcastle University, said: "Customising mobile phones and MP3 players has become hugely popular and has started in the last few months to filter through to the UK fashion scene."
