TICKETS have gone on sale for an annual concert to raise money for a cancer charity.
Belmont Ladies Choir and Pittington Brass Band will perform at the event, which will be held in St Nicholas Church in the Market Place, Durham City, to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.
The event, organised by the charity's Neville's Cross Group of Friends, takes place at 7.30pm on Thursday, December 8.
Carol Bennett, the charity's community fundraiser, said: "We are delighted that our fundraisers in Neville's Cross are holding this lovely festive event again this year.
"Christmas is a time for celebration, and buying a ticket to attend the carol concert is a great way to help fund research into a disease which affects one in three people."
Tickets for the concert are £5, including a glass of wine and mince pie, and are available from Greta Hodgson on 0191-384 4731 or at the door.
