RESIDENTS will get the chance to quiz a panel of experts on the burning issues of the day next week.
Health chiefs and council leaders will sit on the panel at the Richmondshire state of the district debate.
The event, at Colburn's community health and recreation centre on Tuesday, will be compered by James Wilson from Fresh Radio.
The theme of the debate will be sustainability.
Leader of Richmondshire District Council, Councillor John Blackie, said: "It promises to be a lively evening.
"Sustainability is a much-used word that means a multitude of matters to a multitude of people, so hopefully we should not run out of things to talk about.
"The debate will give us a good opportunity to showcase sustainability in a local context and give people the chance to quiz our local experts on the burning issues of the moment."
Panel members include Simon Kirk, chief executive of Hambleton and Richmondshire Primary Care Trust, and John Gibb, manager of the Friarage Hospital.
The debate will start at 7pm and will finish no later than 9pm.
Refreshments will be available from 6.30pm.
