WORKERS in the UK are among the least confident in the world about the future security of their jobs, research showed yesterday.
Almost one in four employees in this country fears there is a chance they will be made redundant over the next year, the highest percentage of 18 countries covered by the study.
The survey of up to 1,000 workers in each country by consultants RightCoutts also revealed that most British employees believe they would find it difficult to find a similar job if they were laid off.
The most pessimistic workers are in Germany, while the most optimistic are in Japan, Korea and Norway
