A WOMAN who robbed a schoolgirl in a terrifying daylight attack was jailed for three-and-a-half years yesterday
Kelly Hackett, 25, and a male accomplice, targeted the 13-year-old as she left a shop with a friend in Chester Road, Sunderland, on February 6.
Newcastle Crown Court heard how the victim was warned if she did not hand over her necklace, she would be stabbed.
Alec Burns, prosecuting, said Hackett's accomplice, who has not yet been caught, produced a knife.
Hackett, of Ross Street, Sunderland, denied robbery but was found guilty by a jury.
Judge John Evans sentenced her to three-and-a-half years and said: "This must have been extremely frightening."
