The Newcastle branch of Swedish bank Handelsbanken has appointed LOUISE HEAVISIDES to provide support for the bank's account managers.
The 35-year-old, from Sunderland, has several years' experience in the financial sector, having gained her Financial Planning Certificate (MLIAdip) and previously working for the Cavanagh Group (formerly Ernst and Young Financial Management Limited).
She said: "I am delighted to be working for Handelsbanken - its reputation is excellent - and it was one of my main reasons for applying to the bank."
Handelsbanken has seen steady growth since it opened its Grey Street branch three years ago. Branch manager Kevin Pattison said: "Louise's technical knowledge and experience with customers will assist us considerably. She is a valuable addition to our team and her experience will be of particular advantage to our growing private customer base."
Handelsbanken has 20 branches in the UK. The bank opened a branch in Liverpool earlier this year.
