THE lure of the surf has helped UNW accountants recruit MARK GALLIVER.
The 32-year-old had been based in London since his return to the UK from Australia, and was a frequent visitor to the North-East because his girlfriend lives in Northumberland.
Mr Galliver, a keen surfer, decided to move to the region and has joined UNW's corporate finance team.
He said: "I feel very lucky that everything seems to have come together at the same time.
"The guys at UNW are a great bunch to work with and I am mad about surfing, so I speed down to Tynemouth at the end of the day to catch a few waves before the light fades."
Mr Galliver trained with Ernst and Young and then went on to specialise in corporate finance.
He has also worked at Investec Investment Banking on flotations, fundraising and mergers and acquisitions.
