A RURAL post office in a North Yorkshire village will be on the move later this month - but is not going very far.
The post office at Aldbrough St John will close at its existing location at Talbot House at 12.30pm on November 24.
However it will re-open just two days later next door - at 9am on November 26.
Rural transfer adviser Ray Jefferson said: "This relocation will provide customers with brighter, more modern premises and there are plans to install an access ramp and handrail leading to the entrance.
"The branch will have an open plan format, with newspapers and stationery items available alongside the wide range of post office products and services, including free personal banking, foreign currencies and benefit payments in cash."
Opening hours at the new office will be 9am to 12-30pm, Monday to Saturday.
