FAMILIES from a village in the North-East are preparing to welcome singers from Eastern Europe into their homes.
Residents in Hurworth, near Darlington, are playing host to members of the Boyan Ensemble, from Ukraine, who are returning for their fourth performance at the village's parish church.
The Sacred Chants and Songs of Ukraine concert, to be held on Friday, will mark a decade since the professional choir first appeared in All Saints' Church.
The singers are members of Ukraine's Revutsky State Male Choir.
Denis and Jean Pinnegar are ready to host the principal conductors, identical twins Yurij and Volodymyr Kuratch.
Mr Pinnegar said: "After all this time, we still find it very difficult to tell the brothers apart, but we have built up lasting friendships despite the language barrier.
"The Boyan's visit is a special time for Hurworth."
Tickets and more information about the concert are available on (01325) 720782, or from Bramwells Jewellers, in Post House Wynd, Darlington.
