SPORTS-mad teenager Jennifer Crewdson is having a run of success after qualifying for the National Biathlon.
The Northallerton College student won through to the biathlon championships in Sheffield at the Yorkshire region qualifier, staged at Queen Margaret's School, Escrick, near York.
She also competed well at the school's biathlon competition at Ampleforth College and will take part in the schools' biathlon championships in February.
The events will involve swimming 100m and running 2,000m against competitors from all over the country.
"I really enjoy sport," said Jennifer, 15, of Maunby, near Thirsk. "I also compete at netball, hockey, diving, swimming, gymnastics, trampolining, dancing, fencing and shooting."
Modern pentathlon regional development officer Ann Marshall said that with all her skills, Jennifer was ideally placed to become a modern pentathlete.
"She is a very talented girl. She just needs to pick up riding and she could be in with a chance of competing in the modern pentathlon in the 2012 Olympics," she said.
The college's joint head of sport, Ruth Curtis, said: "Jennifer is one of the best all-round performers I have seen in my teaching career - a truly talented, modest young woman with a great future ahead of her in sport."
