A PRINTING company that has quadrupled turnover to £1m in the past three years expects to see it jump to £2m by 2009.
When John Hutchinson bought Castle Print, in Richmond, North Yorkshire, in 2002, he said the company was "stuck in the Dark Ages".
"It was really old and tired and the business was struggling," he said.
In three years he has turned the business round, lifting turnover from £250,000 to £1m and more than doubling the workforce to 17 staff.
The firm recently invested £170,000 to double its floor space by adding another unit to its premises on the Gallowfields Trading Estate.
It has also invested £350,000 on new machinery over the past 18 months.
"When I bought the company it was really stuck in the Dark Ages," said Mr Hutchinson.
"We are now running a much more modern business with a lot more customer focus."
