AN open day for ethnic minority groups will be held on Sunday, November 20, in the Darlington Dolphin Centre's central hall, from 2 to 4pm.
There will be information for people from ethnic minorities, with representatives from Darlington Associaton on Disability, Age Concern, and others. Darlington Borough Council's social services team will also be on hand to offer support and guidance.
A range of job vacancies will be advertised, with opportunities to apply for during the day.
There will be translators, information in different languages, and food and entertainment for all throughout the day.
Bryan Thistlethwaite, the council's adult services member, said: "Minority ethnic groups may not always feel part of the community and we want to show them how they can get involved in all aspects of life in Darlington."
