NATIONAL Lottery operator Camelot has seen its longest period of growth, with ticket sales up by £55.2m.
Announcing its interim results at the weekend, Camelot said total ticket sales for the half year to September 24 grew to £2,409.8m - a year-on-year increase of 2.3 per cent.
During its 11-year history, The National Lottery has raised more than £17bn for good causes.
Across the North-East more than 100 people have become Lottery millionaires, with more than £483,214,716 given out in prize money.
