Three pub doormen have denied killing a father of three who was out on a stag night at a city centre nightspot.
Steven Doyle died in hospital three weeks after sustaining head injuries in an alleged assault at the Quilted Camel on Newcastle's popular Quayside on May 14.
Hassan El-Khuweldi pleaded not guilty to murder while Barry Howourth and Michael Searle both denied manslaughter.
Businessman Mr Doyle, 37, of Blyth, Northumberland, and a father to children aged 13, nine and eight, was found unconscious on the stairs of the trendy pub.
He died in hospital from his injuries on June 4 with his family at his bedside.
El-Khuweldi, 46, of Waterloo Street, Newcastle, Howourth, 43, of Chaucer Close, and Searle, 21, of Eighton Banks Farm, both Gateshead, were all remanded on conditional bail.
Judge David Hodson, the Recorder of Newcastle, set a trial date for March 20 next year.
