HEALTH promotion events offering help and advice will be held this week in North-allerton, Stokesley and Thirsk.
The days have been organised by Hambleton and Richmondshire Primary Care Trust's district nursing teams.
As well as advice, nurses will also offer blood pressure and blood sugar level tests.
There will also be representatives from organisations who have been invited to talk about their role in the community and how they can help people get healthier.
The aim of the events is to raise the profile of health promotion by the district nurses, voluntary and professional organisations, and to raise public awareness of services available to them.
Spokesman Mark Wheatley said: "We are hoping that the events will be informal and informative afternoons, and we are encouraging residents of all three localities to come along and join in.
"It will give everyone the opportunity to share their thoughts and concerns with us and discuss any problems they may have with other sectors of the community.
"We are hoping that by inviting various agencies along, we can target issues that the residents may have and need to be addressed and deal with them accordingly."
The events, from 1pm to 4pm, will take place in Thirsk town hall today, Stokesley town hall tomorrow and Northallerton's Friarage Hospital recreation hall on Wednesday.
