SHOPPERS got the chance to experience hairstyles and beauty treatments from wartime Britain at the weekend.
The workshop was held at the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village at Fulford, near York.
Saturday's event was part of the Imperial War Museum's Their Past Your Future initiative, to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
The workshop was run by the York Archaeological Trust.
Diaries, letters and poems written by veterans and civilians feature in an exhibition being held at the outlet village.
The event also features unseen footage and photographs from the Imperial War Museum's archives, an audio-visual display and Luftwaffe bomb maps of the local area. Events will run until November 26.
A 1940s field kitchen display will be given by the Army on Saturday.
The day will include period hits played by the Bob Crossland Big Band.
