RENOWNED crime writer Anne Cleeves is to host a murder mystery evening with a difference.
Super sleuths are invited to solve the crime and determine who murdered library assistant Joy White on Tuesday, at Stockton Central Library, Church Road.
The storytelling mystery will begin at 7pm with each suspect offering their statements and revealing any motives they may have to murder Ms White.
Ms Cleeves, who has been put in charge of the investigation, will then present the forensic evidence.
The author is experienced in crime storytelling. A keen member of the Murder Squad - a group of seven North-East crime writers, she has written more than 20 crime novels, including Sea Fever, The Baby Snatcher and Telling Tales.
There will also be displays of the latest in crime fiction and information on local crimes from the past century, put together by Stockton Reference Library.
Ms Cleeves will also sign copies of her work during the interval.
Tickets are £5, including light refreshments, available from any Stockton library.
