ALMOST 100 lots will go under the hammer at a charity auction of promises next week.
The event, in aid of Bainbridge Primary School, will be held on Friday, November 11 at the village hall.
Promises up for auction include gym membership, a day's pheasant shooting, and a car service.
Lots such as meals for two and a massage will also be auctioned off.
The event is being run by the school's Parents and Friends Association (PFA).
Organiser Lynette Spence said: "As some of you may already be aware, the school is gradually growing in numbers and has a large playing field, but no equipment on it to stimulate the children at playtimes.
"The 40-year-old steel climbing frame is past its best and has gone for scrap.
"The PFA is therefore concentrating its efforts on raising money to fund the installation of new equipment which would meet the needs of all the children within the school."
A list of promises is available from local shops and the school. An option to bid by proxy is also available.
Viewing starts at 7pm and the auction begins at 8pm.
Admission costs £1, including cheese and wine.
