POLICE are concerned for a chef who has not been seen since he went to a nightclub at the weekend.
Archibald Drummond, 41, of Dunelm Road, Moorside, Consett, County Durham, was last seen in the town's Trades nightclub.
In the early hours of Saturday, he told his partner's son he would go home in half-an-hour.
His partner last saw him at 5.50pm on Friday when he left the home they share to go to work at the Moorside Hotel, Moorside.
He later called her on the phone.
Sergeant Ian Scott, of Consett police, said: "Mr Drummond never arrived at his home and has not been seen since. His disappearance is a complete mystery and totally out of character.
"We have made extensive inquiries among friends and family locally, and officers in Scotland have carried out similar inquiries on our behalf, all of which have drawn a blank.
"Although Mr Drummond originates from Scotland, he has lived in the Consett area a long time and has friends here, but none have seen him.
"His partner is very concerned and we would urge him to contact her or the police."
Mr Drummond is 5ft 10in, of medium build, clean shaven with brown cropped hair with blond streaks and blue eyes.
He wears hooped earrings in both ears, has a silver eyebrow piecing and a number of tattoos, one of which shows a woman and a flower.
He was last seen wearing a white shirt with a Celtic symbol on it, blue jeans and black shoes.
