YOUNGSTERS opted for something a bit different when they celebrated Halloween on Teesside last night.
Children dressed up as princesses and pirates, instead of the usual ghouls and witches, at the free party at The Pheonix Centre on Hartlepool's Central Estate.
There was a buffet and refreshments, along with prizes for the best costumes, games, apple-bobbing, face-painting and a puppet show.
The event, which was run by Jubilee Church in the town, was organised for children under ten.
